Connecting with Passed Loved Ones
How to Communicate Beyond the Physical World, Even if You're Not a Medium
Communicating with passed loved ones can be a deeply transformative and healing experience. Many people feel they need to be a medium to make this connection. However, there are some ways to connect with those in the afterlife, even if you don't consider yourself a medium.
When people ask me how they can connect or communicate with their passed loved ones, my first suggestion is usually to begin with ‘signs’.
Our passed loved ones love to send us messages through signs and symbols that are unique to them, such as a certain type of bird, a butterfly, a specific song, or a particular smell that appears out of nowhere such as their favorite perfume. Many people even find coins on the ground which are often known as 'pennies from heaven'. Some people experience their passed loved ones causing certain objects to move or appear unexpectedly. You can even ask your passed loved one to send you a specific sign and more often than not they will. These signs can be comforting and a reminder that your loved one is still with you in spirit.
Another way to connect with your passed loved ones is through dreams. Dreams can be a powerful way for the afterlife to communicate with us, as our subconscious mind is more open to receiving messages. Before you go to bed, set the intention to receive a message from your passed loved one. Keep a notebook by your bed to write down any dreams you have, and look for symbols or messages in your dreams that you think may be from your loved one.
Automatic writing is another technique that can be used to communicate with passed loved ones. To do this, sit in a quiet place with a pen and paper. Set the intention to receive a message from your loved one, and then start writing. Don't worry about what you're writing or if it makes sense, just let the words flow. You may be surprised at what comes through.
It's important to remember there is no one right way to connect with your passed loved ones. What works for one person may not work for another and sometimes receiving a message can take time. The most important thing is to keep an open mind and heart, and trust that your loved one is still with you in spirit.
